FUEGO&PIEDRA ATELIER

Bespoke microcement furniture, shaped around your space.

A singular piece begins with a conversation. At Atelier, we shape made-to-order microcement furniture around proportion, use, colour and the atmosphere you want to live with.

THE IDEA BECOMES A PIECE

YOUR VISION,
OUR ART.

Atelier is where an idea becomes a living piece. We work with you — and, where relevant, your designer or architect — to create a microcement piece that belongs to the scale, light and rhythm of your space.

No two surfaces are the same. Every piece is handcrafted in Sydney, layer by layer, with its own tonal movement, texture and quiet character.

FROM CONVERSATION TO CRAFT

THE ATELIER PROCESS

FIVE CONSIDERED STEPS

  1. 01 Drawing showing the proportions of a table

    SHARE THE VISION

Bring us your drawings, dimensions, reference images or simply the feeling you want the piece to hold. We begin by understanding the space and the role the piece will play within it.

  2. 02 Light microcement table with considered proportions

    SHAPE THE PROPORTION

Together, we refine scale, silhouette and function. The goal is not to make something larger or smaller — it is to make something that feels right in the room.

  3. 03 Microcement finish samples in several colours

    CHOOSE COLOUR & TEXTURE

From soft mineral neutrals to more expressive tones, colour and texture give the piece its personality. Physical samples can help translate an idea into a finish you can feel.

  4. 04 Artisan crafting a microcement surface by hand

    CRAFT BY HAND

Once the direction is confirmed, the piece is handcrafted in Sydney. Microcement is applied in layers, then worked by hand to reveal depth, movement and a surface that cannot be exactly repeated.

  5. 05 Finished terracotta-toned microcement table in its new home

    DELIVER WITH CARE

Your piece is prepared for its new home and delivered with the attention a handcrafted object deserves.

YOUR FIRST CONVERSATION

BEGIN WITH
THE SPACE

To begin an Atelier conversation, share what you know:

  • the type of piece you are imagining
  • approximate dimensions or a floor plan
  • images of the space and reference images
  • how the piece will be used
  • your preferred timing

The more context we have, the more considered the first conversation can be.

ATELIER
QUESTIONS

The details that help turn an idea into a considered piece.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PIEDRA VIVA AND ATELIER?

Piedra Viva offers curated Fuego&Piedra pieces in defined forms and sizes. Atelier is for a piece developed around a specific space, proportion, colour, texture or design brief.

CAN I CUSTOMISE THE SIZE, COLOUR AND TEXTURE?

Yes. Atelier begins with the needs of your space. We work through proportion, colour and texture as part of the design conversation.

DO I NEED A COMPLETE DESIGN BEFORE I CONTACT YOU?

No. A floor plan, a few dimensions, reference images or even an early idea can be enough to begin. We will help clarify the next steps.

HOW LONG DOES AN ATELIER PROJECT TAKE?

Every piece has its own scope and making process. Your indicative timeline is discussed once the design direction, finish and delivery requirements are understood.

DO YOU WORK WITH INTERIOR DESIGNERS AND ARCHITECTS?

Yes. We welcome collaborative enquiries from interior designers, architects and selected commercial or hospitality projects.
